RESEARCH

My principal research interests lie in the field of television and cinema. I am currently investigating how “cultural memory appears in the media”, “movie-going experience”, “reflections of religion in Turkish cinema”, “melodramatic mode in Turkish cinema and serials”, using the latest media and film analysis techniques.

My future research plans are to build on my intrest in Turkish TV and Cinema and their audiences and spectators. I have already been speaking to Cambridge Scholars about editing an anthology, I would like to add it: Islamic Movements and Turkish Cinema.
